How to Enjoy a Cheap Weekend in Dubai

A cheap weekend in Dubai is not something that’s out of reach, believe it or not.  You can easily find some amazing things to do in Dubai without breaking the bank and, even fit in a great day on the greens of some of the best golf courses in Dubai.

If you can find yourself a cheap hotel in Dubai and we bet you can, you can do all of these amazing things and more.  You can spend your weekend in Dubai visiting some of the most popular tourist spots, trying out new things and, of course, playing some amazing golf.

Golfing

Golfing is one of the best things you can do in Dubai.  With plenty of amazing golf courses and some of the greatest greens in the world, Middle East and the United Arab Emirates right here in Dubai, you’ll never be hard pressed to find a fantastic course that’s the perfect fit for you.  There are some challenging courses and some more laid back golf courses in Dubai so make sure you’re really looking around to find what is good for you.

Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall should be right at the top of you to-do list if you’re going to be in Dubai for a weekend.  This amazing shopping centre gives you access to some of the greatest shops, retail spaces and dining experiences in the world.  Not only that but you can visit numerous record breaking experiences all in one place.  Dubai Mall is the largest mall in the world and houses the largest OLED screen in the entire world as well as the most complete fossil collection of any dinosaur in the world, The Dubai Dino.  Dubai Mall also gives you amazing access to the World’s Tallest Building, the Burj Khalifa as well as the second largest choreographed water fountain show in the world, too, at the Dubai Fountains.  If you’re in the mood to take some fantastic photos of some record breaking things in Dubai, well, Dubai Mall should be your very first stop.

Souks

The traditional and modern souks in Dubai are certainly a major tourist attraction.  Being able to walk through the narrow alleyways of the popular and bustling marketplaces is a huge draw and gives you some amazing experiences.  You can haggle, barter and create some fantastic deals on perfumes, spces, clothes, gold and more in the traditional souks or you can experience a more refined modern experience in the modernised souks.

Burj Al Arab

The most luxurious hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab is the world’s only seven star hotel.  The Burj Al Arab is situated in the iconic Jumeirah and is one of the most beautiful buildings in Dubai.  If you can take some time to visit the Burj Al Arab, even if you’re just visiting one of the amazing restaurants inside, you’ll be glad you did.  Prices per night to stay here, though, are rather high at around 5,000 AED (£1,000) per night, ouch.
